Digital Literacy and Financial Inclusion training for Staff of Airforce Institute of Technology by SKYHUB NIGERIA
Digital financial literacy (DFL) is expected to become an essential part of education in the Digital Age. Individuals will become more involved for their own financial planning, even for retirement, as the ‘gig’ economy grows.
To efficiently use financial technology (fintech) products and avoid fraud and costly mistakes, consumers will need to have increased financial intelligence.
The growth of digital financial services has been at the center of financial inclusion initiatives in many countries. Financial inclusion models involving mobile and other digital financial services can enhance overall economic growth and development goals.
Hence, Financial literacy can therefore enable a consumer to gain both awareness and knowledge of the different types of financial products and services available (including those delivered through digital means) and the necessary knowledge and understanding of which features are the most important to consider when choosing financial products and services.
SKYHUB NIGERIA, a creative digital marketing agency trained the staff of the Air force Institute of Technology, Kaduna on Digital Literacy and Financial literacy skills in a bid to promote digital financial literacy in Nigeria.
The program was a success, with over 100 institute employees receiving hands-on training. The staff appreciated the institute’s management for the opportunity to acquire essential skills needed to live, learn, and work in a society where communication and access to information is increasingly through digital technologies like internet platforms, social media, and mobile devices.
The overall session was split into 3; job opportunities in the crypto and blockchain space led by Dou, Digital Literacy and Financial inclusion Skills by Yusuf Ahmed, and Understanding Business & Personal Branding on Social Media by Solomon Yateghtegh.
The SKYHub Nigeria team led by Yusuf Ahmed also paid a courtesy visit to the Provost, Air force institute of Technology, and discussed future opportunities with SKYHub Nigeria and the institute.
